As the Ongoing NLC Nationwide Strikes, public schools and financial institutions in Kano have totally complied with the Strike .

Our Correspondent who monitored the strike in Kano metropolitan reports that public schools and Banks were closed .

Meanwhile Private school owners in Kano shun the strike action embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC.

A proprietress who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they were not joining the strike as they stand to benefit nothing from the strike action.

According to the proprietress, “we are not joining the strike because we are private and they are not going to give us when they get the minimum wage. It is not as if they will share with us.

“Bring the children to school. If they now start disturbing us, then we will know what to do,” the proprietress said.

our correspondent also observed compliance at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, MAKIA .

A source at the airport said domestic flights were shut down except those going on pilgrimage to the Holy land.
