Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare board says the first batch of the state intending pilgrims depart Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi international airport to Saudi Arabia on 3rd June 2024.

The Director General of the board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo disclosed this to Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Dutse, the state capital.

 

According to him, the first batch of 410 Pilgrims are from the 16 local government areas of the state.

They include Gumel, Garki, Gagarawa, Suletankar, Babura, Maigatari, Kirikasamma, Birniwa, Guri, Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa, Yankwashi and Gwaram.

 

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo explained that the board had registered a total of 1,293 intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajj exercise, while remaining intending pilgrims will be airlifted in two batches of 550 pilgrims each.

He prayed for a successful hitch free hajj exercise, Allah’s guidance and protection for management of the Board and the state intending pilgrims while Nigeria and kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The DG therefore, urged the state pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the country while in Saudi Arabia.

Some of the intending pilgrims who spoke to Radio Nigeria commended the Pilgrims Boss for the smooth screening exercise both at the Hajj camp and airport.

The Pilgrims which include 10 officials were airlifted through Max Airline From Dutse to Madina.
