Jigawa State Local Government Service Commission has launched the payment of eight point eight million naira tuition fees to fifty four local government staff that completed their in-service training at various institutions of learning across the country.

Speaking at the occasion, Chairman of the Commission, DIG Uba Bala Ringim(Rtd) reaffirmed the commission’s determination to settle all outstanding tuition fees to the local government workers.

He said launching of the payment has coincided with the one year anniversary of Governor Umar Namadi led administration.

Alhaji Uba Bala Ringim explained that the commission would continue to sponsor local government workers to further their studies for improved service delivery.

He also reiterated the commitment of the Jigawa state government to give local government workers full mandate to discharge their duties, and urged them to brace up in the discharge of their responsibilities.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the commission and the state government for the gesture.
