Niger State Government says any  group or individuals involved in act of violence and disruption of public peace in Minna, the state capital and its environs will be face the law.

This is with a view to serve as deterrent to others.

Commissioner of Homeland Security Brigadier General Garba Abdullahi Mohammed who gave the warning in a telephone interview with Radio Nigeria in Minna , said the state government will continue to accord zero tolerance to youth restiveness.

Brigadier General Garba Abdullahi Mohammed  explained that any individual who attempts to bail arrested violator  would also be charged to court after investigations.

He said the state government will not fold its arms and allow miscreants to destroy lives and property of residents going about their legitimate businesses.

The Commissioner was reacting to spate of violence and restiveness perpetrated by youths in Minna that claimed two lives and left some injured following a fight  between two rival youth groups at Maotumbi in Bosso local government area of the state earlier today.

This incident is in addition to the killing of a  health worker three days ago by  rampaging youths at Fadikpe while returning from work.

The Commissioner said this was unacceptable  and advised them to desist forthwith or face the full wrath of the law.

Meanwhile security has been tightened in the troubled spots and some parts of Minna the state capital to cases of youth restiveness, violence and hooliganism.
