The Acting Zonal Director of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Harry Erin, says the commission will collaborate with the Nigeria Army and other paramilitary agencies in the fight against economic and financial crimes.

 

Erin states this when he visited the Brigade Commander, 22 Armoured Brigade, Sobi, Ilorin, Brigadier General Oluwafemi Williams and the state controller of Nigeria Custom Service , Comptroller Faith Ojeifo in Ilọrin.

 

He said there was a need for improved inter -agency collaboration among government agencies to reduce corruption to the minimum.

 

The EFCC boss requested the support of the military in tackling illegal mining activities in the state.

 

On his part , Brigadier General Oluwafemi Williams said he was pleased to receive the new Zonal Director and his team, adding that the military would support to commission in the fight against corruption in the state.

 

In his remark , the Kwara state custom Area Controller Comptroller Faith Ojeifo commended the EFCC for working hard to deal with economic saboteurs in the state and ensuring that sanity is restored.
