Federal Government, has handed over assorted grains to Kebbi State government for Unward distribution to vulnerable members of the society.

Speaking on the occasion of the handing over at Birnin Kebbi, the Director General, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Zubaida Umar, said the gesture from the federal government was aimed at reducing poverty acoss the country.

While commending the federal government and Kebbi State Government for supporting the less privileged members of the state, the Director General said, the gesture would be distributed across the state 21 local government areas to purely vulnerable persons in the society.

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, while thanking the Federal Government for supporting the less privilege persons, said the gesture was meant to support and reduce the poverty amongst the less privileged.

Governor Idris said, the initiative underscored the government’s commitment in supporting those in need especially in this challenging times.

He pointed out that, in the face of the ongoing global challenges, it is imperative that leaders come together as a community to support the vulnerable citizens.

The Governor observed that, distribution of assorted grains as palliative was a crucial step towards ensuring that those most in need receive the necessary support and assistance in this hard times.
