House of Representatives Committees on Petroleum Resources Midstream and Downstream has assured Nigerians that the Logistic Problem hindering adequate supply of Petroleum Products which has resulted to long queues in filling stations across the country has been resolved.

Chairman of the Committees, Mr. Ikenga Ogochinyere and Mr. Henry Okojie at a joint news briefing in Abuja said the Committees sat with relevant stakeholders to address the logistic issue.

The House Committee Chairman on Petroleum Resources Downstream Mr. Ikenga Ogochinyere, called on security agencies to clampdown on individuals and group sabotaging the adequate supply of Petroleum products.

Mr. Ogochinyere explained that the actions of some middle men in the Petroleum industry contributed largely to the disruption of adequate supply of the products which has subjected many Nigerians to untold hardship.

The Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream Mr. Henry Okojie, encouraged the citizens not to be worried as adequate supply of the Products are currently ongoing.

The Committees emphasized that an investigation by the committees revealed that there is availability of Petroleum products and also appealed to Nigerians not to engage in panic buying as the long queues have started disappearing.
