The Makarfi Local Government Area Education Trust and Endowment Fund (METEF) has announced that it has covered the tuition fees for over 300 students from underprivileged backgrounds in the area.

This initiative aims to reduce school dropout rates in the region by enabling students to focus on their studies without financial constraints.

The Secretary of the foundation Sama’ila Aliyu Makarfi said the beneficiaries include students from Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic and Kaduna State University.

The foundation is also working to establish a JAMB registration center in Makarfi LGA to alleviate the inconvenience faced by students who currently have to travel to Zaria for their exams.

Also the member representing Makarfi/Kudan Federal Constituency, Hon. Umar Shehu Ajilo, praised the initiative and committed to collaborate with the Trust Fund to provide continuous educational support in the Local Government Area.
