Governor Bala A. Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman, the Emir of Dass, as the State Amirul Hajj for the 2024 Hajj Exercise in Saudi Arabia.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mukhtar Muhammad.

The letter of appointment signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Kasim indicated that his appointment, along – side 13 other prominent citizens of the State is based on their devotion, exemplary dedication, discipline and divine service to Almighty Allah.

The Amirul Hajj Team comprises individuals with extensive experience in managing pilgrimage affairs.

Governor Bala Mohammed expressed confidence in the capabilities of the appointed team, emphasizing their capacity to uphold the highest standards of service delivery and professionalism throughout the Hajj exercise. He reiterated the state government’s dedication to supporting pilgrims and ensuring their welfare throughout their journey.

The team will work in collaboration with relevant authorities, including the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Saudi Arabian government, to ensure a seamless and successful pilgrimage experience for all Bauchi State pilgrims.

The Governor urged the appointed team to discharge their duties diligently, with the utmost sincerity, and in accordance with the principles of fairness, equity, and justice.
