The Nigeria Labor Congress has called on the Federal Government to meet up the agreement earlier made with the union , aimed at easing the sufferings of the people.

The Chairman of the Union Kano chapter Comrade Kabiru Inuwa disclosed this while presenting a letter to Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf for onward submission to president Ahmad Bola Tinubu at Government House Kano during a peaceful protest organized by NLC and TUC in Kano.

He said the purpose of the protest was to call on government to fulfill the promise made during the meeting held with the NUC and TUC recently.

Comrade Kabiru Inuwa noted that among the agreements reached during their meeting with the federal government include the provision of CNG to the Cars a cross the nation , CNG Gas stations across the Nation , salary upward review,. Palliative to the poor among others.

“we want government to fulfill their promise or else subsidy removal should be reversed “

Speaking while receiving the letter on behalf of governor Abba Kabir Yusuf , the secretary of the state government Dr Baffa Bichi assured the labour members that their letter would be submitted to the president.

He said kano state government was working assiduously to providing succor aimed at cushioning the effect of the fuel subsidy removal.

The protesters who were in hundreds carried carried placards with different inscriptions like ‘ we don’t want palliative we want subsidy removal to be reversed”. We are suffering consider Us” and much more.

The protest was conducted peacefully amidst coordinated security by the police.
