Jigawa state government says it will spend over 226 million naira on Nomadic Education this year.

The Acting Executive Secretary of the State Nomadic Board, Hajiya Ramatu Muhammad made this known to newsmen in Dutse.

According to her, the amount will be spend to renovate and construct nomadic schools, teaching and learning materials as well as office materials.

Hajiya Ramatu Muhammad said already the state Budget Directorate had approved the board’s budget of over 226 million naira.

She explained that government had also approved establishment of 10 nomadic junior secondary schools and would provide motorcycles to local government coordinators and zonal offices for effective monitoring of the Nomadic schools.

Hajiya Ramatu Muhammad explained that the board had introduced a policy to assist female nomads enrol in boarding schools and would be giving school materials.

The Executive Secretary therefore called on Fulani nomads to enrol pupils in the schools to acquire western and Islamic education.
