The Senate has commenced screening of the recently appointed Service Chiefs.

President Bola Tinubu, had on June 19 appointed new service chiefs in the country.

President Bola Tinubu had in a letter to the senate on Monday, requested that the Upper Chamber confirm the nomination of the Service Chiefs.

Chief of Army Staff who is currently before the senate, says Nigeria has gone through challenging security situations which have impacted on the economy and entire fabric of the society.

He said that insecurity has distorted the development plan of Nigeria and therefore demands new skills that are proactive, adaptive and inclusive.

Gen Musa says the Armed Forces under his watch will continue to serve Nigerians dutifully. He asks the Senate to confirm his appointment.

Maj. Gen. C.G Musa Chief of Defence Staff (CDS)

Maj. Gen. T. A Lagbaja Chief of Army Staff (COAS)

Rear Admiral E. A Ogalla Chief of Naval Staff (CNS)

AVM H.B Abubakar Chief of Air Staff (CAS)

DIG Kayode Egbetokun Ag Inspector-General of Police
