Kaduna state house of Assembly has elected a Member representing Makera constituency Alhaji Yusuf Liman Dahiru as New speaker of the tenth Assembly.

This followed his nomination by a member representing Lere east constituency Hajiya Munirat Sulaiman Tanimu and seconded by a member representing Igabi East constituency Alhaji Salisu Dan bala.

Also the House elected a member representing Kagarko Constituency Mr Henry Magaji Danjuma as deputy speaker who was nominated by a member representing Zonkuwa constituency Mr. Bako Emanuel Kantiok and seconded by a member representing Zaria city constituency.

In his acceptance speech the tenth speaker of the Assembly Alhaji Yusuf Liman Dahiru pledged commitment to carry all members and staff of the Assembly along to move the state foward.

He explained that the tenth Assembly would make sure cordial working relationship between legislative and executive arm of government for progress of the state.

The exercise was presided over by the clerk of the Assembly Barrister Sakina Hassan and sworn in all members accept a member representing Chikin constituency who is currently on admission in hospital.
