All the three thousand seven hundred and ten intending pilgrims from Niger state to this years hajj in Saudi Arabia have been assured that they will be airlifted to the holy land before the closure of King Abdul’aziz International airport Jeddeh.

Executive Secretary Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Aliyu stated this in an interview with Newsmen in Minna the state capital on their level of preparedness for the annual hajj.

Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Aliyu explained that already over one thousand intending pilgrims from the state have been airlifted to Saudi Arabia from the Nnamdi Azikwe International airport Abuja in three separate plights.

According to him the fourth batch of intending pilgrims from Niger state are expected to be airlifted tomorrow and expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the airlift of pilgrims has been going on as planned.

On the problems of Visas the Executive Secretary Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Aliyu said the problem has been solved since they can now accessed their Visas from the state without necessarily going outside.

He however said though they are being faced with challenges of transporting the pilgrims from Minna to Abuja for onward journey to Saudi Arabia they are doing their best to address such problem squarely to enable them succeed in the task of achieving Hajj Mabrur a successful hajj.

Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Aliyu admonished  pilgrims from Niger state to be good ambassadors of the state and Nigeria while in Saudi Arabia as well as offer prayers for peace progress stability and the continued development of the country as an indivisible entity.
