The Speaker, Zamfara State Assembly and APC Zurmi West state assembly candidate Nasiru Muazu Magarya has lost his seat to PDP candidate, Bilyaminu Isma,il of the People’s Democratic party, PDP.
The returning officer, Muddasir Ismail Moriki said, Speaker Nasiru Muazu Magarya of APC scored 9530 votes, while his opponent of the PDP Ismail Muddasir scored 11,213 votes.
In a related development, the Deputy speaker of the house, Musa Bawa Yankuzo of APC also lost his seat to PDP candidate, Bello Maza-waje.
However, the governorship election result is still in progress at the INEC collation center in Gusau, the state capital.
With this development, eight local government councils have been collated which include Anka, Bungudu,Bukuyum, Bakura, Tsafe, Talata-Mafara, Gummi and Zurmi local government councils.
