Joint Action Committee of the Non Academic staff union of federal University Gusau, JAC has called on federal government to immediately address their grievances for development of education nationwide.

The Chairman of the joint committee of SSANU and NASU Comrade Mudassir Musa made the call during a peaceful rally organized by the Union at the university main campus in Gusau.

Comrade Mudassir said they were out to protest concerning the issues of IPPIS, Earned Allowances, illegal deduction and delay of their salaries as well as arrears of the minimum wage.

He said earlier they have sat with federal government delegation to address the issue amicably but nothing was done even though they embraced the IPPIS issue on salary payments.

The Chairman also called on federal government, National University Commission, and other relevant stakeholders to immediately address their complains for the betterment of its members.

Responding on behalf of the management of the institution, the Vice Chancellor, Academic Professor Ahamad Galadima assured to look into the complains of the Unions and forward it to the appropriate authorities for proper solutions.

He called on the Unions to always adhere to the constitution in seeking their right and addressing grievances.

Members of the two Unions were seen carrying placards with different inscriptions #Pay us our Earned Allowances, #Address our IPPIS issue, #Pay us our arrears, #We are tired of lips Promises among others.
