The New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP says it is still studying the outcome of the February 25th presidential election to make informed decision on the way forward.

According to the party, the NNPP will not rush into filing a suit at the tribunal over the election.

Addressing political editors in Abuja, the national chairman of the party, professor Rufai Alkali explained that the NNPP was discussing with its lawyers to arrive at a holistic position.

Professor Alkali criticised the resort to street protests by the PDP after filing a case at the tribunal over the outcome of the election.

On the forthcoming governorship election, Professor Alkali expressed worry over the despiration by some actors and urged NNPP candidates to stand firm and avoid going into any alliance with any party.
