The Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, Alhaji Isah Idris Jere has commiserated with Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State Government and the People of the State over the death of the Emir of Dutse, Dr. Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi.

Alhaji Isah Jere expressed shock and prayed that Allah forgives the late Emir and grant his family and subjects the fortitude to bear the loss.

Presenting the condolence letter to the Governor, Alhaji Isah Jere said Nigeria had lost a traditional monarch whose contributions to the promotion of unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians cannot be forgotten for years to come.

He described the late Emir as a man of compassion, peace and clear perspectives, adding that the death of Dr. Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi had robbed the nation of his rich and wise counsel, creating a huge vacuum that would be difficult to fill, while the impact would be felt beyond the shores of Jigawa State.

The CG who was represented by the Assistant Comptroller General zone B, Hajiya Zainab Lawan, used the opportunity to congratulate the new Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Hameem Nuhu Sanusi for succeeding his father, and prayed Allah to guide him in discharging his duties.

Responding, Governor Badaru Abubakar explained that during his reign, the departed Emir applied his wisdom and prestige to enhance peace and transformational development in Dutse Emirate and the State at large.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini said, the late Emir will continue to be remembered for his dignity, integrity and boundless love for his people and commitment to their well-being and progress.

The Governor thanked the Comptroller General for the condolence and prayed Allah

to accept the good deeds of the Emir, forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
