Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has expressed satisfaction with the existing cordial working relationship between the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and it’s counterpart the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

The Governor made the indication during the distribution of hospital equipment to some selected hospitals in the state.

He said coalition between NEMA and SEMA had yielded positive results in uplifting the standards of living among kano residents.

The Governor, who was represented by the Executive Secretery SEMA Dr. Saleh Aliyu Jili, described NEMA under the leadership of it’s Kano/Jigawa Territorial Co-ordinator Dr. Nuraddeen Abdullahi as partners in progress.

He charged the public to avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse and blockage of water ways to avoid disasters, as the Nigerian Metrological Agency NIMET had Predicted the Possibility of Heavy Rainfall this years.

Dr. Ganduje appealed to Kano residents to use fire and electric appliances with caution to avoid inferno especially during harmattan.

In a remark, the territorial Co-ordinator NEMA, Dr. Nurudeen Abdullahi maintained that the donation was aimed at assisting the hospitals to ensure quality healthcare delivery, while urging them to ensure proper utilization of the equipment.

Also the Executive Secretary of Red Cross Kano Branch Alhaji Musa D. Abdullahi, Commended NEMA and SEMA for the distribution of relief Materials to the vulnerable and hospitals in the state.

Recieving the items, the Director General Kano State Hospitals Management Board Dr.Nasiru Alhassan Kabo, Represented by Ibrahim Abdullahi Kayye,Promised to make Judicious use of the equipments.
