The People of Kwara state have expressed worry over rising inflation following the extension of the collection of old naira notes by the central Bank of Nigeria CBN.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent sample People’s opinion on the extension of the deadline, and many lamented that the situation has left them with nothing.

A business owner Mr Oluwaseun Adekunle said non availability of both the old and the new redesigned naira notes as a result of the extension had crippled their businesses.

He explained that the new redesigned naira need to be made available to ensure success of the policy.

In a remark a Point of Sales Service (POS) operator Muslim Abdullahi emphasised that the new redesigned naira policy was a good initiative, saying the implementation has brought untold hardship to the common man.

Abdullahi urged residents of the state to support the naira redesigned policy to ensure its success.
