Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment has reassured of its commitment in ensuring adequate data collection for the formulation of database to ease doing business in Nigeria.

The Deputy Director, Gender Unit of the Ministry Mrs. Achilam Chioma Fidel stated this during a one day stakeholders meeting for the Northwest Zone held in Kano.

She said the aim of the meeting was to develop a strategic document on gender initiative aimed at easing ways of doing business.

The deputy director noted that the policy document will enable the Ministry to actualize its drive of having more women included in business in the areas of industry , trade and investment.

“at the end of this meeting we intend to have a comprehensive data harvest , which will enable adequate establishment of a good document “

Mrs Achilam Chioma added that seven states of the northwest were participants of the program.

Nasiru Garba Ringim from Jigawa state and Hauwa Usman from Kano state who were among the participants of the program, applauded the fore sight of the federal government for initiating the program.

The stakeholders training was attended by participants from the Northwest zone.
