National Union of Zamfara State Students, NUZAMSS, has advocated for the welfare of their members nation wide to enable them deliver execellenttly in their academic activities.
The newly elected President of the Union Comrade Ismail Sani Albusawi gave the charge at a press conference held at the NUJ Sectariate Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital .
Comrade Ismail Sani said their administration would give priority to the welfare of students especially those in tertiary institutions and called on state and federal governments to ensure they settle all the bursary allowances owned by the students.
He commended the effort of Zamfara State government for taking appropriate biodata of the state students with a view to settling all their financial benefits and called on the state government to address all the lingering issues of students of the state.
The NUZAMSS President added that, the union was now organising a sensitization programs for secondary students aimed at encouraging them to choose their educational career in furthering their knowledge.
Comrade Ismail also called on youths especially students not to allow themselves to be used by some selfish politicians as political thugs.
He also used the opportunity to call on Zamfara state students to ensure they collect their voters card for them to elect leaders that would bring unity and meaningful development in the state and the country in general.
On insecurity, the President urged members to contribute positively towards ending the issues in the state and the country in general
He also advocated for prayers for peace and stability to prevail in Zamfara, northern region and the whole nation.
