Late Comrade Rodney Nathan


Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commiserated the people of the state and the leadership of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) over the demised of the Adamawa state chapter Chairman of the union, comrade Rodney Nathan in Jos, after a protracted illness.


Fintiri who extended his condolences through a statement by the Press Secretary Humwashi Wonosikou, describes the late chairman as a successful administrator, educationist and hardworking.


He said until his death, the late Nathan was also the regional leader of the 19 northern states and vice chairman of the state chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress NUT.


While commiserating the family and associates of the late comrade, the Governor extolled his exemplary lifestyle of commitments and sacrifices to the service of the union towards the growth and development of the educational sector in the state.


He also described the deceased as a decent and diligent unionist, adding that his death would be a major loss not only to his immediate family, the Bwatiye race, the teachers union in the northern region but also to the entire state of the federation.
