President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the people of Kogi State that the Ajaokuta Steel Complex will be revived.

The president gave the assurance while addressing traditional rulers at the newly built Ohinoyis Palace, Okene, Kogi State

He said his administration was resolving the dispute surrounding the takeover of the company.

President Buhari disclosed that over 400 million dollars had been spent so far in process.

According to the President, the benefits of AJASCO were too numerous to be abandoned including thousands of direct and indirect

He noted that the federal government would continue to explore ways to tap into the mineral potentials of Kogi State

Meanwhile, an explosion has occurred at the Karaworo junction, close to the the Ohinoyi’S Palace. Though, there has not been official reports, at least two people were said to have been killed in the explosion as president Muhammadu Buhari had earlier commissioned the new Palace.
