The Senate has postponed the passage of the 2023 budget until Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

The passage of the Finance Bill has also been postponed by the lawmakers till December 28 as well.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan made these announcements during plenary on Thursday.

The lawmaker explained that the Senate is postponing the budget passage due to some challenges in receiving the report on the 2023 budget from the appropriations committee.
