Kaduna Central Senatorial Candidate of the APC, Muhammad Sani Dattijo says the emergence of various support groups the party is a sign of victory in the 2023 general elections.
He stated this during the inauguration of APC Grassroots Independent Campaign Council in Kaduna.
Mohammed Dattijo who is also the former Chief of Staff to Governor Nasiru El-Rufai explained that many support groups springing up within the APC are not indications of crisis, but an indication of victory awaiting the ruling party.
He pointed out that the support groups alongside the Presidential Campaign Council are all working towards the objective of delivering Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria.
While inaugurating the Kaduna State Executives, Deputy National Coordinator of the Grassroots Independent Campaign Council ICC, Alhaji Umar Mohammed said, the group is not in competition with the party’s Presidential Campaign Council PCC been speculated.
According to him, the group was created to complements the efforts of the party’s presidential council , as well as other party candidates at the grassroots.
“We want to clarify our erroneous misconception. We are not in competition with PCC or undermining their activities”.
“We have already secured 4.6m votes for Tinubu /Shettima in the forthcoming elections in 2023, he declared”
In his remarks, Kaduna State Coordinator Grassroot Tinubu Shettima Independent Campaign Council, Alhaji Sani Rabiu Bako disclosed that, since the returned of civil rule in the last twenty three years, it was the first time that an independent presidential campaign council was formed to complement other forms of campaigns in Nigeria.
Alhaji Bako described it as a unique form of campaign targeted at villages and hamlets, through grassroot mobilisation.
The state coordinator pointed out that their strategy was to adopt a door to door campaign, voters sensitization and education toward ensuring victory of the APC presidential candidate in the forthcoming election.
The Secretary of the Independent Campaign Council in Kaduna, Mr John Audu Kwaturu pointed out that, the inauguration of the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council was created out of the believe that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would bring desirable changes by creating jobs, enhance security and improve the economy.
“There is no doubt that our party, the All Progressives Congress is working tirelessly to retain power ahead of the 2023 General election”.
According to Kwaturu, the major objective of the council was to mobilise million of voters into Asiwaju political empire and amalgamate all available support groups of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu into a forum ahead of 2023 election.
Mr John Audu Kwaturu urged all the party stakeholders to work toward achieving the the task ahead, considering the fact that Kaduna is the home of APC in the Northwest.
