Labaran Maku Appeals to Nasarawa Residents to Vote for Credible Leaders in 2023

A former Minister of Information Mr. Labaran Maku, has appealed to residents of nasarawa state to vote for politicians who have their interests at heart in the next years general election.

Mr. Labaran Maku, made the appeal in Toto Local Government Area during the PDP statewide campaign flag off ceremony.

The former Minister who is the Director General of the PDP Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in Nasarawa State lamented the untold hardship that residents of the state were facing under the All Progressives Congress led government both at the national and state levels, citing the high cost of food stuffs, unemployment, insecurity, among others.

He promised that if the candidates of the PDP emerge victorious in the forthcoming general elections, the party would ensure prosperity for all citizens of the State and the country at large..

Maku said, “We can all see how the APC government has failed us. They promised to bring a positive change to the country but instead of doing that, they brought suffering on all of us. The prices of food items in the market, the dollar exchange rate, even the price of petrol have all skyrocketed from how they were when the PDP was in government.

“There are also issues of kidnapping, banditry and other security threats. We cannot continue like this.

“In 2023, we should vote for only credible leaders who we can hold accountable, and I can assure you that the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party are ready to serve. So, you all should give them your votes in order to ensure the speedy growth and development of our dear Nasarawa state.

On his part, the PDP governorship candidate, David Ombugadu, vowed to ensure that the thirteen local government areas of the state will experience rapid development if he is voted into power comes twenty twenty three.

Earlier in his speech, the State PDP Chairman, Mr. Francis Orogu, expressed gratitude to stakeholders and residents of Toto local government area for always supporting the party, while assuring that all promises made to the people will be fullfiled if its candidates are voted into office next year.

Our correspondent reports that during the campaign flag off, the PDP received some top politicians who joined the party from the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
