Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Redemption Party in Kaduna, Mallam Hayatudeen Lawal Makarfi says the state need to translate its status from consumption to production level on for optimum socio-economic development .

He stated this during a media parley organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists Kaduna State council, for candidates vying for gubernatorial, senatorial and house of representatives offices in the state .

He noted that key sectors in need of revamp include tourism , small scale industries and information communication technology, for sustainable economic development .

Hayatudeen Lawal cited Dubai as one of the greatest economies of the world due to its robust tourism sector, which Kaduna must key into to attract foreign investment and upscale revenue generation l.

He added that the famous Panteka market is an economic hub that needs to be harnessed for greater economic opportunities especially in the areas of transportation, investment and skills acquisitions .

The gubernatorial hopeful said if he emerges , his administration will work closely with religious institutions to forestall crisis and also spearhead the process of uniting residents irrespective of religious or cultural differences .

The PRP candidate appealed to the youths to embrace his movement as they represent the majority who are innovative, creative and have the best interest of the country at heart.

Highlight of the event was the unveiling of his three- points agenda of social justice, economic and human capital development.
