Kebbi State Police Command has arrested twenty seven suspects for committing various offences across the state.

Parading the suspects, the state Commissioner of Police, Magaji Kontagora explained that the suspects committed crimes such as rape, kidnapping, armed robbery and fraud.

He told newsmen that, the police successfully rescued several abducted victims at various kidnapping dens in the state after gun duel with the kidnappers. 

According to Kontagora, the police had successfully arrested one Bashiru Sani of Helende village in Argungu local government area of the state and Sama’ila Umar of Argungu town with the sum of 31,600:00 naira counterfeit money of one thousand naira denomination.

He said all the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution accordingly after investigation.

While assuring the readiness of the command to protect lives and property of the people in the state, Kontagora reaffirmed that, the command would not relent its mandate in curbing crime in the state.

He equally warned and advised political actors in the State to conduct their campaigns within the extant legal frameworks, avoid actions or speeches that could inflame the political order and cooperate with the police in their drive to guarantee a peaceful electioneering period.
