Political thugs have assaulted the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Zamfara State Council , Comrade Ibrahim Musa Mai Zare and threaten to kill any journalist who talk to them about the issue.
The Secretary of the union , Comrade Ibrahim Ahmed Gada made this known at a press conference held in Gusau .
The disagreement followed the erection of a structure at the NUJ premises, which the Chairman ordered for it stoppage.
The matter was reported to the police who intervened by sending their men to handle the situation.
Working journalists in Zamfara State are in terrible conditions and called on non-governmental organisations, relevant authorities, and other stakeholders to come to their aid.
