Kano House Of Assembly Rejects Commissioner Nominee

Kano State House of Assembly (KNHA), has rejected the nomination of Alhaji Muhammad Bashir as part time Commissioner, Public complaints and Anti Corruption Commission (PCAC).

This was sequel to a report presentation, by Chairman house standing committee on public petition Alhaji Musa Gama, which stated that it refused to clear the nominee due to inconsistency in his qualifications.

However, KNHA had confirmed and approved the re – appointment of Rabi’u Yusuf Gezawa as full time commissioner, Public Complain and anti Corruption Commission (PCAC), during today’s plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.

Similarly, the house had confirmed the appointment of Sunusi Tijjani Buhari, Usman Adamu Kutama and Aminu Uba Rurum as education secretaries of Dambatta,Gwarzo and Rano Local Education Authorities.

The approval of the appointments, was in line with recommendations by committee on SUBEB and that of Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, presented on the floor of the House by the Chairman, House committee on SUBEB, Alhaji Salisu Dan’azumi Muhammad.

Meanwhile, KNHA had received progress on the report presentation in respect of Audited Accounts of Kano State government for the year ended 31st December, 2016 as presented to the House by the Chairman House committee on public Accounts, Alhaji Salisu Ibrahim Muhammad.

The House adjourned its sitting to Monday 17th October 2022, in a motion moved by the Deputy Speaker, Alhaji Kabiru Hassan Dashi, member representing Kiru ,and seconded by Lawan Shehu Bichi, member representing Bichi local government area.
