A magistrate court sitting in Minna , Niger state has sentenced two females to various jail terms on four count charges of house breaking, trespass , theft and conspiracy.

The accused Fatima Amadu aged sixty, and Nafisa Ilyasu aged twenty one all of Sayako area of Minna were alleged to have broken into a house at Tayi area of Minna and made away with items worth seven hundred thousand naira.

Items stolen are jewelries , clothes wrappers and forty five inches plasma television among others.

They both pleaded guilty to the charges before the court when they were read.

Police Inspector Aliyu Yakubu told the court that the offences they committed are criminal in nature as they contravened various sections of penal code and prayed the court to summarily sentence them, having pleaded guilty to all charges against them.  

Presiding Magistrate Hauwa Kulu after listening to the confessional statement of both accused , condemned the act and convicted them accordingly.

This she said is with a view to serve as deterrent to others.
