The European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS Samuela Isopi says the trade volume between Nigeria and the European Union is totaling about 28.7 billion Euros.

She made this known in Abuja at a reception dinner to mark this year’s Europe day.

The Ambassador said this year’s Europe Day with the theme Unity in Diversity is to recall the EUs shared values which both lie at the heart of it’s relations with Nigeria.

She explained that the 2021-2027 508 million Euros multi annual indicative programme of cooperation with between Nigeria and the EU would strengthen cooperation in three focal area of Green and digital economy, governance,Peace and migration and human development with a focus for the first time on education.

The EU Ambassador to Nigeria expressed appreciation to the Federal and states Government for working closely with the EU in the country.
