President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to as a matter of urgency direct for the immediate establishment of military bases in three local government ares of Niger state that have been ravaged by insurgency.
They are Munya Shiroro and Rafi local government areas.
Senator represented Niger East Senatorial Zone at the National Assembly from Neger state Senator Sani Musa gave the advice in a statement felicitating with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid el fitr celebration and made available to Newsmen in Minna.
Senator Sani Musa however expressed regret that series of insurgency in parts of his constituency has led to dislocation of thousands of people from their ancestral homes and caused the death of many others.
According to him it is unfortunate that as the rains set in many of his constituents have not been able to commence this years cropping due to fear of attacks by bandits.
Senator Sani Musa added that this may lead to food shootage in the coming months and years unless governments at all levels find urgent solution to the problem.
