Jigawa state commissioner for Education Science and Technology Dr Lawan Yunusa Dan Zomo has inaugurated chairmen and members of the governing councils under the ministry.

Speaking at the ceremony, the commissioner said the state Governor selected them based on merit to serve as chairmen and members of various boards towards improving standard of education in the state.

He assured his support and cooperation of the staff and management in their various places of assignment and appealed to them to use talents in moving education sector forward.

In a remark, on behalf of the chairmen and members of the inaugurated boards, the chairman Board of Islamic Education Bureau former Grand Khadi Isah Jibrin Gantsa thanked the state governor for finding them worthy to serve in that regard and promised to justify the confidence reposed on them.

Those inaugurated include chairmen and members of Islamic education bureau, Jigawa state polytechnic Dutse, Binyaminu Usman polytechnic Hadejia, Library board and scholarship board.

Similarly, schools directors and principal of senior secondary schools in Jigawa State have been urged to strictly ensure compliance of covid 19 protocols while students resumes school

The state commissioner for Education science and Technology Dr Lawan Yunusa Dan zomo made the call during a meeting with the heads of senior secondary schools as part of the preparation of schools resumption in the state.

He said the state had provided the necessary materials needed for the success of their studies.

Dr Dan Zomo therefore called on teachers, heads of secondary and primary schools to ensure lessons were conducted in accordance with arrangements made by the ministry.
