Uplifting the standard of wildlife, tourism and recreational activities to international standard, has been identified as some of the cardinal objectives of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje led administration.

The Managing Director , Kano state zoological garden and wildlife management agency, Alhaji Saidu Gwadabe Gwarzo, made the disclosure while declaring open a two day in house training workshop for staff of the agency.

According to him, the workshop was organized to enlighten the staff on how to curtail the menace of rampant deaths and lack of reproduction by animals at the garden.

While expressing satisfaction with the level of turnout by tourists, he reaffirmed the agency’s readiness to organize capacity building workshops every quarter go achieve the desired objectives.

Alhaji Saidu Gwadabe Gwarzo charged participants to make judicious use of the knowledge gained.

In his remarks,the director wildlife services Malam Muhammad Danjuma commended the large turn out of facilitators and other relevant stakeholders.

Also speaking, a lecturer with the department of veterinary anatomy, Shehu Usman Danfodio University Sokoto , Professor Sani Abdullahi Shehu called on veterinary doctors to work asidiously to improve the health condition of wild animals.

He described the workshop as apt and pledged to maintain cordial relationship with the zoological garden as partners in progress.
