Governors of the APC have declared support to President Muhammadu Buhari’s endorsement of the consensus candidate for the National Chairman of the party.
Speaking with State House correspondents after the Progressive Governors’ Forum’s meeting with President Buhari in Abuja, the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Bagudu Atiku, said they had reconciled their differences in preparation for the party’s convention, due to take place on the 26th of this month.
He acknowledged that there were some emotional disagreements among the Governors, but that after careful review of their standpoints, they succeeded in crafting a peaceful way out of their differences, which they related to President Buhari.
Governor Bagudu said President Buhari had expressed appreciation for the peaceful process employed by the Governors to produce officers to administer the next phase of the affairs of the party.
