Niger state government has warned that it will not hesitate to closed down any school that fail to comply with covid19 protocols on school resumption.

The State Commissioner of Education hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu gave the warning in Minna after routine inspection and monitoring of public and private schools to ensure strict compliance with covid 19 protective measure.

Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu said the ministry had set up covid 19 compliance committee at state, local and zonal level towards achieving the set target.

According to the Commissioner, teachers and principals of secondary schools throughout the state have been trained on covid 19 compliance such as social distancing, wearing of face mask and washing of hands with a view to mitigate spread of the disease amongst school children.

Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu stressed the need for collective efforts between government, teachers and parents on adhering strictly on covid 19 protocols and insisted that government alone cannot do it.
