Jigawa State and local government contributory pension scheme has expressed satisfaction at the ongoing verification exercise in the state.

The Public Relations Officer of the Board, Alhaji Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Garki local government area of the state.

He expressed satisfaction on the way and manner the pensioners verification exercise is being conducted across the local government areas of the state.

According to him, officials of the board are doing their best to ensure all pensioners including those who were either ill or hospitalised were verified at the ongoing exercise.

Samaila Ibrahim Dutse pointed out that, the chairman of the state pensioners association has also been urged to continue to mobilise pensioners on the importance of the verification.

The PRO noted that, so far the board had screen over 9,000 pensioners in 18 out of the 27 local government areas of the state.

Samaila therefore commended the state local government chairmen for the support and cooperation given to the pension board for the smooth conduct of the verification exercise.
