In an effort to enhance medical service delivery in the country, the Federal Government is transforming the Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital Kware in Sokoto state.

Speaking to members of Nigeria Union of Journalists who visited the Hospital on a courtesy call, the medical director of the hospital,Prof.Shehu Sale said the hospital is currently undergoing construction and rehabilitation for effective service delivery.

Prof. Sale said the hospital which is known for the treatment of mental diseases is now evolving to a full pledge hospital capable of treating different illness.

While taking journalists around the hospital, the medical director took the newsmen to the newly built dialysis and Covid 19 isolation centres equipped with state of the art facilities for sustainable development.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent in the state Muha’d Nasir report that the infrastructural facilities were also transformed among other changes going on in the hospital.

Responding, the Sokoto state NUJ Chairman Comrade Dalhatu Abdullahi commended the Federal
Government for transforming the health care centre in the state.

He added that the development is a clear indication of Federal Government’s commitment to transforming the health sector in the country.
