House of Representatives has commenced a debate on the proposed 2021 budget.

The motion moved by the house leader Alh Alhassan Ado Doguwa on the proposed 2021 bill on the floor of the house was adopted by the members.

Debating the proposed budget, the lawmakers advocated the need to reduce cost of governance and other unnecessary expenses to save more funds for developmental projects.

Most of the members who contributed during the debate expressed worry over infrastructural decay and advised that the nation’s economy be diversified and be technologically driven.

The Debate which lasted for about five hours is being suspended by the Speaker and expected to continue on the next legislative day.
