Federal University Dutse says the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion NOTAP has donated IT equipment to the University ICT Centre.

The Public Relations Officer of the University, Alhaji Abdullahi Yahaya Bello disclosed this to Radio Nigeria in Dutse, the jigawa state capital.

He explained that, the representative NOTAP Engineer Jairus Omenka Ibu presented the equipment on behalf of NOTAP.

Engineer Jairus Omenka Ibu explained that this is part of the effort of NOTAP in collaboration with the federal ministry of science and technology to establish IT offices in tertiary institutions.

According to him, the agency has recognized FUD and donated equipment to the University and the agency will also take the full responsibility for the  installation of the equipments.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Services, Professor Nura Muhammad Sani thanked the Agency for donating IT equipments to the University.

He said the equipments will assist the University to facilitate communication, enhance learning, and participation in national and international academic discourse.

He added that the management has been working seriously to put the University in the best position in the area of ICT.
