Journalists in Niger state have resolved to partner with relevant security agencies to curb insecurity bedevilling some parts of the state.

This form part of resolutions reached at the end of congress of Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ held at the IBB Pen House Minna.

The communique which was signed by both the Secretary NUJ Comrade Usman Chiji and Secretary communique drafting committee Mr Mathew Jwantu calls on Niger state govẹrnment to create a security situation room to promptly track the security challenges as they occour.  

It also advises Journalists to put interest on those abducted by bandits and their families in their reportage for prompt attention to secure their release.

The comminuque announces the setting up of a committee to tidy up all landed properties and the titles belonging to NUJ for proper management.

It however applauds executives of NUJ Niger state Council for starting the process of enrolling members into insurance policies that would better their lives.

The communique commends Niger state govẹrnment for deliberate efforts at improving the state owned media ọrganisation while calling for the supply of equipments and improve thewelfare package of its staff.
