The first lady of the federal republic of Nigeria, Hajiya Aisha Buhari has urged Kano state government to intensify more efforts towards protecting children from all forms of molestation and oppression, such as the gruesome killing of Hanifa Abubakar.

Aisha Buhari made the call during a condolence visit to Hanifa’s parents in Kano.

She commended the state government for its timely intervention and called for speedy justice for Hanifa.

The first lady charged parents and guardians to exercise more patience as the government would do everything within its power to ensure safety of children.

Earlier, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has promised to abide by the constitutional provision as the governor to assent to the death sentence,when passed by court,over the murder of 5 year old pupil Hanifa Abubakar.

Meanwhile,Aisha Buhari had also visited the emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
