Fuel queues for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at filling stations have returned in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Lagos.

Some fuel stations were seen closed, hoarding or dispensing PMS with one or two pumping machines with long queues in the FCT.

In Lagos, long queues of vehicles at various filling stations in Ikoyi, Victoria Island and Lekki.

The long queues at the filling stations have led to traffic congestion in these areas.

Black marketers have flooded major highways with petrol in cans, selling to motorists on the roadside.

These fuel queues have emerged despite the assurance by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over a week ago that the company has sufficient stock of Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol, to meet the needs of Nigerians.
