Nigeria Police Force NPF has arrested 14 kidnappers who have recently killed two police officers and kidnapped a businessman in Jigawa state.

The State Commissioner of Police CP Aliyu Sale Tafida stated this while parading the suspects at Police headquarters in Dutse.

He said the arrest was made during an operation by the command in the fight against all forms of crimes and criminalities in the state.

Aliyu Sale Tafida further explained that, during the operation, three hideouts were raided in Dajin Maizuwo, Dan Gwanki and Yandamo villages at Sule Tankarkar Local Government Area.

According to him, ten Male and four female suspects have been arrested out of which two sustained injuries as a result of a fire exchange with policemen.

He said two AK47s of the policemen killed recently was recovered, 1 General-Purpose Machine Gun, 9 magazines and 308 live ammunition of 7.6mm were recovered.

The CP noted that the sum of two point seven million naira was also recovered from the suspects.

Radio Nigeria recalled that, gunmen have recently ambushed a police patrol team, killed two officers and set a patrol vehicle ablaze in Kwalam town, Taura Local Government Area.
