National Commission for Museums and monument says it will work assiduously in contributing it’s quota to the Federal Government’s quest in providing affordable housing for the public.

Director General of the Commission, Abba Tijani stated this at the close of a five days intensive training workshop on: VAULT AND ARCH ROOF CONSTRUCTION IN COMPRESSED EARTH BRICKS which took place in Jos.

The Drector General who was represented at the occasion by Director monuments heritage and site Victoria Osuagwu said, his administration was committed to the training and retraining of staff and other participants from outside the Commission as key towards capacity building for quality service delivery.

Tijani urged participants to reciprocate by putting the knowledge gained into practice.

The head of department Center for Earth Construction Technology (CECTech) Linus Nnok expressed gratitude to the Director General of the Commission for his effort in seeing that staff are trained and retrained for efficiency and better service delivery.

Nnok thanked the DG for the purchase of new machines to boost the activities of the Center.

This is said to be the second training of its kind in the last one year.

Participants where drawn from within and outside the commission, with some of the participants coming from as far as Lagos and Borno state.
