Tinubu Donates #50m To IDP’s Ravaged By Banditry In Niger

The National leader of All Progressives Congress APC Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has donated fifty million naira to the Internally Displaced Persons IDP’s ravaged by armed banditry in parts of Niger state.

He announced the donation when he visited Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State at Government House Minna to sympathise with people and the government over the loss of lives and properties as a result of armed banditry.

Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu reminded Nigerlites that they were going to help them overcome the current challenges, saying that “Nigeria and indeed Nigerians are not in a hopeless situation as the Federal Government will take the battle against the terrorists and certainly won”

According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to use available options at his disposal to defeat all forms of crime and criminality as well as to safeguard Nigerian democracy.

The National leader who described armed banditry as unacceptable, however, said they would work hand in hand with the government to bring an end to this mess stressing that prayers and strong determination remain the greatest weapons in addressing the current security challenges bedevilling Nigeria.

In a remark, Niger State Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello thanked the APC National leader for finding time to come and commiserate with them adding that the donation would go a long way in cushioning the hardship of people ravaged by armed banditry in the state.

All Abubakar Sani Bello assured that the money donated would be judiciously utilised through the State Emergency Management Agency SEMA to enable them to reach targeted beneficiaries.

“No amount of dialogue will change the mind of insurgents to denounce banditry but even though it is expensive governments have to make use of satellite images and other modern methods of fighting crime to overcome such challenges” the Governor emphasised.

Radio Nigeria reports that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu also visited the former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his Uphill residence in Minna.
