Kubau Local Government Council in Kaduna State has reiterated its determination to rid of poliomyelitis in the area.

The council chairman Alhaji Bashir Sulaiman zuntu disclosed this while flagging off polio immunization campaign in Kubau ward.

Alhaji Bashir Sulaiman zuntu explained that about one hundred and seventy-five thousand children were targeted for the immunization exercise.

He stressed the need for households to accept the exercise towards achieving desired objectives.

The chairman also charges health officials to discharge their duties professionally in facing global challenges.

Speaking, the Director, Health Department Alhaji Yamusa Umar said, already the council had conducted a series of stakeholders meeting for the success of the three-day immunization exercise.

Also, the State Technical facilitator of Kubau local government Area Mr, George Inusa charged residents to cooperate with health officials towards the success of the program.

Radio Nigeria reports that some of the nursing mothers interviewed, assured of their commitment to maximum compliance to the immunization exercise.
