The Speaker Kano State House of Assembly, Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari has described Alhaji Bashir Tofa as an elder statesman who will forever be remembered due to his immense contributions to the development of the entire nation
He made this known in a condolence message signed by the Director Press and public affairs Kano state house of assembly, Malam Uba Abdullahi and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.
According to the statement, Alhaji Bashir Tofa who was a one time presidential aspirant was at the fore front of Nigeria’s political development.
Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari prayed for the repose of the deceased soul.
The statement, On behalf of members and staff of the Kano state house of assembly, chairman and members of the legislative service commission condoled the government, family and entire people of Kano over the loss of the Elder statesman .
